Business Credit Score

Debt Term

Many if not most sources of debt financing will look at your Business Credit Score as part of the process of figuring out whether to offer you financing and at what terms.

There are at least four corporations that measure the credit worthiness of businesses and provide a Business Credit Score: Dun & Bradstreet, Equifax, Experian and FICO. Importantly, some of these companies provide other measures of business risk so your business credit score is not the only measure a potential lender will be looking at (Dun & Bradstreet, Equifax).

Unlike the more standardized approach to personal credit scores, business credit scores are calculated in different ways by the different organizations so it’s harder to keep track of and understand.
