Top Entrepreneur Funding Podcasts

Top Entrepreneur Podcasts

I’ve spent a lot of time looking for the most popular entrepreneur podcasts, and among those, the most popular entrepreneur funding podcasts. Now you don’t have to!

Of course my interest was surveying the landscape for my own podcast The Funding Coach. I wanted to make sure nobody’s doing exactly what I am.

The news – maybe good, maybe bad – is that nobody else is looking at all funding options while trying to help entrepreneurs. I say “maybe good, maybe bad” because if you are all alone as an innovator, it’s not clear whether that’s because you’re first to an important new market, or because nobody wants your innovation.

I also learned that – as far as I can tell – nobody has an exact measure of podcast popularity. I won’t bore you with the details, but measuring podcast listening is an inexact science.

So my practical entrepreneur (and former market researcher) approach is to use iTunes reviews as a proxy for popularity. Why?

  • iTunes has been the dominant podcast delivery platform, even as other options are proliferating now
  • The number of listeners, and the enthusiasm of those listeners sufficient to write a review, will roughly correlate with the number of reviews.

Top Entrepreneur Podcasts

Here’s what I’ve found so far. The top entrepreneur podcasts are listed below. I include the number of iTunes reviews, the Apple Podcasts link and their web link. If you don’t use Apple Podcasts, the web site should get you to other platforms to listen or subscribe.

Scroll down to see the top entrepreneur funding podcasts for:

  • Venture Capital and Angels
  • Bootstrapping
  • Crowdfunding.

I have not yet found popular podcasts covering business loans and debt, although there are plenty about personal finance that talk about debt! Nor have I found any podcasts covering grants and competitions. (hmmm…. maybe an opportunity?)

And don’t forget to check out The Funding Coach!
